The SBC in a Crowded Theater

From the get-go in 2020, I raised questions about a Houston Chronicle hit piece claiming to show that the SBC had a big sex-abuse problem. In subsequent articles in 2021, 2022, and 2023, I developed my case for cooling our jets, even as we were being led to compromise our polity and dump millions of dollars into ill-conceived initiatives. Christ Over All was kind enough to invite this piece for inclusion in a batch of articles addressing the state of the SBC. I built it around the notion of crying fire in a crowded theater, the sort of behavior that needlessly tramples people.
