Here I pitch in on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the founding of L'Abri by Francis Schaeffer, an event marked by the Southern Baptist Journal of Theology. In it I recall his (and Edith's) speaking to my Wheaton College bioethics students in response to an invitation I offered him on the heels of his chapel address, just 30 minutes before class. And I reflect on his substantial influence in that era and beyond.
