Psalm 24
June 24, 2022
Here’s the link to part 1 of a piece I did for Founders Journal, the second part also available at the Founders Ministries web site, founders.org. My former colleague at SBTS, Tom Nettles, was editor of this issue, whose theme was Psalm 24, which begins with, “The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, the world, and they that dwell therein.” Scott Callaham, who’s taught Hebrew and Old Testament at the Baptist Theological Seminary of Singapore, began with “Who is This King of Glory?—An Exposition of Psalm 24,” and then I homed in on the splendor of landscapes and God’s creatures, with special reference to four paintings that appear in the article: Young Hare by Albrecht Dürer; The Harvesters by Pieter Brueghel the Elder; The Great Wave Off Kanagawa by Katsushika Hokusai; and The Domes of the Yosemite by Albert Bierstadt.
