Sharon and I are about to head out for Dallas for the 2025 SBC. To help put things in perspective, I looked back at a conversation I had with longtime denominational statesman, Herschel Hobbs. Our two-hour talk together at his home in Oklahoma City fed into a piece I did for a book on Baptist theologians, published by Broadman Press in 1990 (before it became B&H, as in Broadman & Holman).
