Having sung and played (trumpet) in church choirs and orchestras for the decades of my life (beginning with the singing Sunbeams of my childhood), and having taught aesthetics (at Wheaton, MBTS, and SBTS) since the 1970s, I was thankful that TruthScript asked me to put my hand to an article on the topic of church-music aesthetics.
