Invited to pitch in a piece for the new Center for Baptist Leadership, I drew on the movie, O Brother, Where Art Thou? for title and subheads. I urge a turn back from woke "ingratiationism," which has sapped our strength, to the ways of former days when our focus was more pointedly New Testament in style and content.
